Privacy Policy and Data Processing

1. Data we collect

When you register and use SportPredictions we collect:

• Name and email address — when you register with email/password or via Google/Apple.
• Username — the one you choose or the one we generate automatically from your email.
• Predictions and scores — the forecasts you enter on the platform.
• Registration date and activity — when you joined groups and tournaments.

We do not collect payment information, identity documents, or sensitive data.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to operate the platform:

• Authenticate your account and identify you within groups.
• Record and display your predictions and points on the leaderboard.
• Send you transactional emails: welcome, password reset, and daily match digest.
• Show you notifications about matches and results.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Where your data is stored

SportPredictions runs on infrastructure in the United States:

• Neon (neon.tech) — PostgreSQL database.
• Vercel (vercel.com) — application hosting and deployment.
• Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery.
• Google / Apple — OAuth sign-in (only if you use that option).

All these providers have their own privacy policies and appropriate security measures. By using SportPredictions you accept that your data may be processed on servers located outside Colombia.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to understand how it's used, and to show ads. These are the ones we use:

• First-party cookies required to sign in and keep your session active.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand anonymously how the site is used.
• Advertising cookies: we display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its third-party vendors use cookies (including Google's advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

4. Emails we send

We only send emails directly related to using the platform:

• Welcome — when you create your account.
• Password reset — when you request it.
• Daily digest — match reminders and leaderboard position (configurable).

We do not send advertising or marketing emails.

5. Your rights

Under Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you.
• Update or correct your information from your profile or by contacting us.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Revoke consent for the processing of your data.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. If the changes are significant, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the platform. The current version will always be available at https://www.sportpredictions.com.co/privacidad.
