How ties are broken in your group's leaderboard

In a close group it's normal for several people to finish on the same points. So who ranks higher? The leaderboard applies clear tiebreakers. Here's how they work.

First, total points

The main criterion is always total points: the sum of everything you've earned predicting matches, plus your champion and runner-up bonus once it's awarded. Whoever has more points ranks higher. No mystery so far.

First tiebreaker: exact scores

If two people have the same points, whoever has more exact scores ranks higher. It makes sense: nailing the exact score is the hardest thing to do, so it rewards the sharper aim.

Second tiebreaker: correct results

If the tie continues (same points and same exact scores), it's decided by who got more correct results (who won, or that it was a draw, even without the exact score).

πŸ“Š In short, the leaderboard order is: 1) total points β†’ 2) exact scores β†’ 3) correct results.

Why this order?

Because it rewards precision. Two players can reach the same points by different routes: one gambling on exact scores, the other playing it safe with results. When there's a tie, the system favours whoever pulled off the harder calls.

How to use it

If you're fighting for first place and level on points, gambling on an exact score in the final matches can be exactly what pushes you ahead. Check the full points table in the rules.
