Here we answer the most common questions about how SportPredictions works. If you can't find your answer, you can reach us from the help section inside the app.
What is SportPredictions?
It's a free sports-prediction game where you compete with your friends. You predict the scores of a tournament's matches, earn points for your correct calls and compete for the top of your group's leaderboard. It's the digital, automatic version of the classic office pool.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free. Creating your account, setting up groups, inviting friends and predicting all cost nothing.
Is money wagered?
No. SportPredictions is not a betting site and does not handle users' money. No real money is wagered or won — what's at stake is the pride of being your group's best forecaster.
How do I create a group?
From the Groups section choose «Create group», give it a name and select the tournament you'll compete on. When you create it you get a code and an invite link to share with your friends.
How do I join a friend's group?
Your friend shares the group code or the invite link. With the code you join from «Join a group», and with the link you're in directly with one click.
Can I be in several groups at once?
Yes. You can belong to as many groups as you like. Your predictions count independently in each group, so you can compete with your family, your friends and your coworkers separately.
How are points earned?
When a match ends, your prediction is compared with the real result. You earn more points for nailing the exact score, and fewer for getting only the result right (the winner or a draw). Matches in later rounds are worth more points.
Until when can I make or change a prediction?
Until the match kicks off. At the opening whistle, that match's prediction locks: you can no longer create or change it. This ensures nobody predicts with an advantage.
What is the champion and runner-up prediction?
It's a global prediction for the tournament: you pick who you think will win and who will finish second. It's worth valuable bonus points and has a deadline. Because it's worth so much, it's often decisive in winning your group.
Can I see other people's predictions?
Yes, but only for matches that have already started. Before kick-off, other players' predictions are hidden so nobody can copy.
Which tournaments can I play?
The big football tournaments, such as the 2026 World Cup, the Copa Libertadores and the Liga BetPlay, among others as they're enabled. Each group chooses the tournament it wants to compete on.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. SportPredictions works in your phone and desktop browser, with no app to install.
How is the group winner decided?
Whoever accumulates the most points by the end of the tournament wins, adding up match points and the champion/runner-up prediction. Each group's leaderboard updates automatically.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We only use the data needed for the game to work and we never sell it. You can read the details in our privacy policy.
